Lay Readers / Chalice Bearers

This lay ministry of Christ & Holy Trinity represents a cross-section of the parish and is composed of people called to take a more active role in our worship services.

Any member of the parish, with the consent of the Rector, is able to be a Lay Reader; one who reads the Scriptures from the Hebrews or Epistle for the day.

Chalice bearers serve with the consent of the Rector and are licensed by the Bishop of the diocese. (It is the custom in our parish that the roles of Lay Reader and Chalice Bearer are generally performed by the same persons.)
